Frequently Asked Questions and Answers about Truck Protection

What should I do if my vehicle needs a repair that is covered by the Ryder Road Ready Plus™ warranty?
Call Ryder Warranty immediately at 1-888-RYDER65 (888-793-3765). Assistance is available from Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST, and you will be directed to one of the 2,000 authorized nationwide repair facilities.

How much will I have to pay on a covered repair? Do I have to wait for reimbursement?
Ryder will pay all covered charges less a $150 deductible per incident, even if you have two or more repairs required at the same time. Ryder handles everything with respect to the covered charges and pays the repair facility directly, less the deductible, once repairs are complete. All claims must be approved by Ryder prior to repairs being performed. Claims for repairs performed without Ryder authorization may be denied.

Is oil consumption in excess of manufacturer’s specifications covered? Does Ryder pay for oil and filters on my repair?
Yes, Ryder follows the Original Equipment Manufacturer’s (OEM) parameters on oil consumption. If oil and filters have been contaminated due to a covered failure, Ryder will also cover them.

What maintenance guidelines must I follow? What records should I keep?
You must always follow the OEM’s recommended service guidelines for the vehicle and be sure to keep records of all service events.

Will I be responsible for towing?
Yes, the vehicle operator is responsible for towing charges.
